Cara penggunaan So...that...dan Such...that...

So…that… dan Such…that…

( Begitu…sehingga…)

·     Fungsi 

So…that… dan such…that… digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu fakta yang diikuti dengan akibat/hasil dari fakta tsb.

·        Cara penggunaan

1.     So…that…

  S + V/to be + So + Adjective/Adverb + that + S + V

  Bisa juga,

  S+V/to be + So + Many/Much/Few/Little + Noun + that + S + V

Contoh:

a.     Yogyakarta  is so wonderful that everyone wants to go there. 
b.    She has so many books that she needs more room to keep them. 
c.      He is so handsome that Mrs. Momo loves him. 
d.    My mother is so busy today that she can’t cook dinner for us. 
e.      There was so  many people at the concert that makes the concert so crowded. 
f.      Mrs. Momo  has so many birds that  his house is so noisy. 
g.     It was so windy that we couldn't go sailing. 
h.    The dress was so wonderfully designed that I couldn't take my eyes off it. 
i.       Momo was crying so loudly that the pedestrians stared at him. 
j.       Mira is so generous that the poors love her. 
k.    I was so surprised that I could not speak a word.

   2.       Such…that…

S + V/to be + Such + a/an + Adjective + Noun + that + S + V (singular noun)

Bisa juga,

S + V/to be + Such + Adjective + Nouns + that + S + V (plural noun)

Nb:

  -    Singular noun = benda tunggal.

-         Plural noun = benda jamak (banyak/tidak bisa dihitung).

-         A/an = an diikuti huruf vocal (a,i,u,e,o) sedangkan a diikuti huruf konsonan.

Contoh:

   a. It was such a great show that I will never forget it.
   b. It was such a fantastic display that I spent almost  half an hour enjoying it.
   c. He is such a big man that he has to buy customized T-shirts. 
   d. You are such a bad citizen that you often break the law.
   e. The man carried such heavy suitcases that he feels tired.
   f. They are such beautiful pictures that everybody was interested to buy them. 
   g. It was such nice weather that we went to the zoo.
